Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu created history with her win at the 70th edition of Miss Universe 2021 and is en route to leaving behind a remarkable legacy that will inspire thousands of people, not just in India but worldwide.

While the diva is known for her grace, elegance, and humility, she sure shut down trolls that assume she won the pageant just because she has a ‘pretty face’ disregarding her years of hard work. “There are a lot of people who say I won because I have a pretty face. But I know the amount of effort that went behind it. Instead of indulging in arguments, I’d rather work hard to make them realize (my worth). This is the stereotype that I want to break. This (Pageants) is a lot like an Olympic. When we appreciate a sportsperson who represents the country, why can’t we appreciate beauty pageant winners? However, mindsets are changing, and I am happy to be breaking stereotypes already,” she exclaimed, speaking to a source.

Born in the same year Priyanka Chopra was crowned Miss World, Harnaaz has idolized her all her life and finally, following her footsteps, won India the third Miss Universe crown. And quite recently, during an interview on being asked to name a celebrity whose biopic she would want to feature in, her answer was the obvious – Priyanka Chopra. “Priyanka Chopra. I would love to love to be part of that. I think she has inspired me throughout her journey, and she will keep on inspiring millions of us,” she replied.

Harnaaz, who aspires to pursue a career in acting, wants to break the stereotypes of the film industry and influence people with her choice of roles. “I don’t want to be a normal actress. I want to be one of those who are very influential and who break stereotypes by choosing strong characters, being wise, and inspirational,” she added. The stunning queen has already acted in two films slated for release in 2022.

We are incredibly proud of the queen for her courage to speak up against demeaning comments and cant wait to see her conquer the world with her reign as the newly crowned queen.
